CPGC Joins Soldotna Progress Days Parade - Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11 AM
Get ready to laugh, wave, and hum along—because the Central Peninsula Garden Club is thrilled to participate in this year’s Soldotna Progress Days Parade, themed “Homegrown Happiness!” And we’re doing it garden-style—with a whimsical float full of animated vegetables playing kazoos!
Community Support Across the Peninsula
We believe in supporting all of our gardening club friends, no matter where you’re located. Whether you’re a garden member in Homer, Anchorage, or any part of the Kenai Peninsula, our club is here to help you grow your gardening skills and share in the joy of gardening. That's also why each year we give away 10% of our budget via mini-grants. Be sure to check out our CPGC programs and Community Events page for upcoming gatherings, meet-ups, and workshops that bring together green thumbs from all over our beautiful region.
Thank you for being a part of our growing community. Consider entering our Gardening Contest! We can’t wait to see what you’ll grow next!
Happy Gardening! 🌱🌸

CPGC Joins Soldotna Progress Days Parade
Float, Kazoos & “Homegrown Happiness”!
Our float will feature giant costumed veggies (grown with love and a healthy dose of imagination), each tooting out tunes on their trusty kazoos as we roll through the parade route. It’s a joyful celebration of community, and the literal fruits (and roots) of our labor.

2025 Summer Garden Tours Are Now Being Planned
We extend a heartfelt thank you to all the hosts who opened their gardens to us in 2024. Your hospitality and willingness to share your expertise, along with the unique challenges of gardening in Alaska, made last season's tours both educational and inspiring.
We invite everyone to check out the photos from the garden tours on our Past Events page.
If you would like to showcase your garden or you have a request, please contact Marian Owen. We look forward to more incredible gardens tours this summer in 2025. Emails will be sent to CPGC members as soon as the garden tours are finalized. Stay Tuned!
