Summer Garden Tours
It's garden tour season, and the CPGC Summer Tours Committee is seeking enthusiastic hosts eager to showcase their gardens this summer! If you're passionate about sharing your gardening techniques, composting expertise, or irrigation systems, we'd love to hear from you. Whether you have a sprawling garden, vibrant raised beds, or are practicing sustainable gardening methods, your knowledge and insights on overcoming the challenges of gardening in Alaska are invaluable. Join us in celebrating the joys of gardening by sharing your expertise with our community. If you're interested in hosting a tour or would like to nominate a garden, please email Marian Owen at marianowen@cenpengardenclub.org. Let's make this summer's garden tours unforgettable!
Garden Tours are exclusively open to dues-current CPGC members.
To be eligible, hosts must have:
more than one area of interest (outdoor garden, irrigation system, high tunnel, raised beds, composting, root cellar, etc.),
and provide parking for 5-10 cars.
Harvest Moon Festival
The Harvest Moon Festival is on the second Saturday of September and the CPGC will be supporting. More information is to come soon.
2024 Home Show
This year's Home Show is on April 13 and 14, 2024 at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex, 538 Arena Ave #8200, Soldotna, AK 99669.
For over 42 years the Kenai Peninsula Home Show has been a huge part of Spring. Each year it brings together hundreds of business owners from across the peninsula to showcase what they do in the building industry and to connect with would-be home builders, buyers, renovators, or dreamers. Over 3,000 people attend the Home Show each year. The Kenai Peninsula Builders Association is proud to bring you the Home Show each year.
The Central Peninsula Garden Club is hosting a booth at the annual Home Show and we need your help. We're seeking volunteers to sign up for two-hour shifts during the event. If you're interested in lending a hand at our CPGC booth during the 2024 Home Show, please reach out to Mike Hassemer. As a volunteer, you'll receive complimentary admission to the Home Show. It's a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our community while enjoying all the offerings of the event. Join us and be part of something special!
